Patty Jenkins, who is best-known for directing last year’s blockbuster ‘Wonder Woman’ is reuniting with the film’s male lead for a new TV series called ‘I Am the Night’. The show sees Chris Pine play Jay Singletary, a former Marine-turned-hack reporter/paparazzo.
According to the plot description, “‘I Am the Night’ tells the incredible story of Fauna Hodel (India Eisley) who was given away at birth. As Fauna begins to investigate the secrets to her past, she follows a sinister trail that swirls ever closer to an infamous Hollywood gynecologist, Dr. George Hodel (Jefferson Mays), a man involved in the darkest Hollywood debauchery.”
The limited series consists of six episodes and is set to premiere in January 2019 on TNT. Unfortunately it’s too early to tell when or if the show will get aired on Irish TV as well.
Chris Pine and Patty Jenkins will also be uniting on the sequel to ‘Wonder Woman’, which recently released its first look images and was confirmed to be called ‘Wonder Woman 1984.’
Gal Gadot, who plays the titular character, revealed a first look at Wonder Woman in costume last month.
Last week, we got a sneak peek of Kristen Wiig in character and costume as Barbara Minerva, the villain of the upcoming movie.
‘Wonder Woman 1984’ is due to hit Irish cinemas in November, 2019.
