As the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landings approach, a new drama series will debut this autumn.

'For All Mankind' is an original drama series made for Apple TV by Ronald D. Moore. As the man behind the likes of Outlander, Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica, he clearly has pedigree with space-themed shows.

The plot explores "what would have happened if the global space race had never ended". The cast includes a number of low-key names who have credits on various US TV series, including Shantel VanSanten, Wrenn Schmidt and more. Joel Kinnaman is perhaps the best-known name on the list.

As you'll see from the trailer, it poses an alternate reality where Neil Armstrong was not the first man to set foot on the moon...
