Ah sure if isn't Matt Smith and Jenna Louise Coleman on a motorbike, riding down the side of The Shard in London... The very first official picture of the pair in the brand new series of Dr Who has finally been revealed, and it's errr, not giving much away to be honest....

The Doctor and his latest lovely assistant, Clara, are returning to our screens on March 30th with 'The Bells of St John', an episode that's been penned by none other than Mr Steven Moffat himself. Expect an introduction to the 21st century Clara Oswald and a brand new enemy, known as the Spoonheads. Moffat says there's plenty more where they came from this time around: “There’s new Cybermen, new Ice Warriors and a never before attempted journey to the centre of the TARDIS. And in the finale, the Doctor’s greatest secret will at last be revealed!”

Series 7B (yeah, we don't really know either, perhaps a die hard Who fan can elaborate?) is being described as a "modern-day urban thriller", and will feature eight brand new episodes. Seems like so few but then again, we're in for a whole year of The Doctor, what with it being the show's 50th Anniversary and all.

Personally, we'd LOVE to see some sort of Late Late 50 style piss up. Sure couldn't Twink hide inside a dalek and give us a show?

Catch Doctor Who every Saturday night on BBC One from March 30th. Sure isn't our own Liam Cunningham even making an appearance? (He's got some beard going on in the trailer below)
