The tizziest onscreen mother daughter duo are back together, waddling around Fountain Lakes for the first time in 15 years in the name of a 20th anniversary special.

The original cast including Gina Riley as Kim, Jane Turner as Kath, Magda Szubanski as Sharon, Glenn Robbins as Kel, and Peter Rowsthorn as Brett have begun filming in South Melbourne.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported that the special with feature the snottiest retailers in Fountain Lakes, Prude and Trude. Who knows, maybe we'll even get another cameo from Kylie Minogue as Epponnee-Rae.

'Kath & Kim' left off on what was titled 'Wedding of the Century' where Sharon married her dream man Wayne, played by Shane Warne. Kim and Brett were on the rocks financially, especially after Kim's overdue DVD fines that amounted to 90 thousand dollars.

Their daughter Epponnee-Rae will probably still be a teenager at this point, likely causing ructions. As for foxy mama Kath and her great big hunk of spunk Kel, they had turned their home into a Bed and Breakfast the last time we saw them.

There are no confirmed broadcasters for the special as of right now, however, we have our fingers crossed that it'll be landing on Irish Netflix to take its spot beside the 'Kath & Kim' series, plus the movies 'Da Kath & Kim Code' and 'Kath & Kimderella'.

They're sure to have heaps of ideas to run up their flagpoles, as Kath might say and we have a feeling in our waters that this is going to be noice, different, and unusual.

Catch up with 'Kath & Kim' over on Netflix.
