Kids growing up in the 90s will recall beloved Nickelodeon animated shows like Rugrats, Doug, Hey Arnold!, The Ren & Stimpy Show, and Rocko’s Modern Life.

Well the latter is getting a comeback and our wee nostalgic hearts can barely contain the excitement.

The project has been in the works since last year but it was just announced that the original cast are all coming back.

Carlos Alazraqui (Rocko); Tom Kenny (Heffer – but best-known for voicing Spongebob Squarepants); Mr. Lawrence (Filburt); Charlie Adler (Ed and Bev Bighead); Linda Wallem (Aunt Gretchen); Jill Talley (Nosey); and series creator Joe Murray (Ralph) will all return to voice their respective characters in the special. Murray is also writing and exec producing the project.

Set after the series finale “Future Shlock,” in which Rocko, Heffer, and Filbert (as well as Filbert’s kids) accidentally shot themselves into space, the special follows the characters as they return to Earth and find the world utterly changed.

The synopsis released by TV Line reads: “Heffer and Filburt embrace every aspect of new technology, social media and the endless diversity of food trucks, [while] Rocko whole-heartedly believes his nostalgia for the past can save him from the tortures of the modern world.”

Don't we all?

The TV movie is one hour long and will be called Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling. The one-off special will premiere on Nickelodeon in 2018.
