If you don't feel like heading out this Paddy's Day, but still want to get into the spirit, then why not sit down with some decent Irish film and TV? Ant and Dec may have cracked out some rather impressive jigs and reels on Saturday Night Takeaway, but they're not the only ones getting into the spirit.

Netflix UK and Ireland have quite the Irish back catalogue on offer, what with three seasons on Father Ted and five years worth of Pat Shortt's Killinascully. Add to that two seasons of Pat's Mattie, the first series of RTE's Trivia (y'know, that show about the fella who was obsessed with the pub quizzes?), and Tommy Tiernan: Something Mental, and you're laughing!

When it comes to Irish film, we've got quite the list of recommendations ourselves, but there's a few On Demand that you won't want to miss. Glenn Hansard's smash hit musical Once is up there, as is Ordinary Decent Criminal, the hilarious crime caper featuring Kevin Spacey and, believe it or not, Christoph Waltz. Plus, there's Sensation, a more serious movie which sees Domhnall Gleeson deciding to put his inheritance into a brothel business venture with a call-girl from New Zealand.

So, if you can't hack the long day and night out and about, sit back, relax and have a cup of tea, father. Go on.
