Although it's not yet clear whether or not she'll still be on our screens, Evelyn Cusack is now taking on the top position in Met Eireann as Head Of Forecasting.

The role, which has been left vacant since December, was previously occupied by Gerard Fleming who retired last year. Cusack has been a forecaster and a regular presence on Irish television for 30 years, beginning her career in 1988. It is not yet clear when Cusack will take up the role, or if she'll continue on presenting the weather - but she's used to high pressure.

That's a weather joke. Cough.
