Need we say spoiler alert? Just in case you're not up to date on season six... SPOILER ALERT.

Now that that's done with, we'll get to it. This week's Game of Thrones finally gave Daenerys a moment worthy of the Queen of the Dragons after seasons of wandering the desert essentially. Yes, back in season one we saw Dany emerge from the flames with her dragons in tow, but since then, we've seen very little of her fire-proof superpowers at work.

Emilia Clarke chatted to Entertainment Weekly recently about the episode saying; "It’s so exciting, very tingly-making. Every season I get at least one spine-chilling moment. I just stand up and I go, ‘I’m hearing what you’re all saying, but funny thing, I’m going to kill you all. I forgot that I have an ace in my back pocket and now I win.’"

The triumphant moment was also the first nude scene Emilia Clarke had done since season three, after the actress had decided she wasn't going to do any more unless it "forwards a story".

Clarke wrote in an Instagram post last year; "I was followed into a party by a journalist who asked me a question about female empowerment and then quoted me entirely out of context for an outlet I didn’t agree to speak with. So I feel now, with the beauty of Instagram I should clarify my statements, if for nothing else than for posterity.

"In drama, if a nude scene forwards a story or is shot in a way that adds insight into characters, I’m perfectly fine with it. Sometimes explicit scenes are required and make sense for the characters/story, as they do in Westeros.

"If it’s gratuitous for gratuitous sake, then I will discuss with a director on how to make it more subtle. In either case, like a good Mother of Dragons, I’m always in control."

Following the use of a body double by fellow Game of Thrones star Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) last season, it was speculated that Clarke did the same. The actress insisted though that this week's scene was 'all her', telling EW; "I’d like to remind people the last time I took my clothes off was season 3," she said. "That was a while ago. It’s now season 6. But this is all me, all proud, all strong. I’m just feeling genuinely happy I said ‘Yes'. That ain’t no body double!"

Adding; "Taking off my clothes is not the easiest thing, but with the magic of the effects, I don’t have to do a season 1 and go on a cliff and do it," she notes. "I’m in control of it."
