While nothing has been confirmed in any shape or form, it seems that chat show host Ellen DeGeneres is beginning to tire of making a fool out of her celebrity friends.

In all fairness, the woman is 60 years old. She's probably thinking about winding down a little bit, and spending less time on TV screens.

News coming in from New York Times, is that Ellen DeGeneres is in two minds whether to keep going with her talk show or not. Her contract with Warner Bros. comes to an end in 2020, and two people in her life are urging her to do conflicting things.

Her older brother, Vance DeGeneres, who is also a comedian, is urging Ellen to stay where she is. However, her wife Portia de Rossi tells the comic that she can do better, and has "other things she could tackle. She gets mad when my brother tells me I can't stop."

'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' has been running since 2003. Since starting, Ellen took over the mantle of one of America's most watched talk shows, and her YouTube channel is one of the most subscribed to in the world. The show is currently on its 16th season.

As well as securing A-Listers on her sofa every day for a chat, she's also made them do many a hilarious task. Who could ever forget Dennis Quaid ordering a coffee in Starbucks with Ellen feeding him lines; or the sheer amount of times the comedian has managed to scare celebrities over her 15 years on TV.

However, as the show is filmed live, and then briefly edited, there have been many bloopers on the show over the years. Here's a video showing times when things didn't exactly go right.

Would you be disappointed if Ellen quit her talk show? Let us know in the comments.

Ellen's first stand-up comedy show in 15 years, 'Ellen DeGeneres: Relatable', hits Netflix on December 18th.
