If you're missing bearing witness to the banter between 'Love Island' king and queen Ekin-Su and Davide, you're not alone. Over the last two months, they offered nothing short of Oscar winning performances of love, betrayal, and love all over again. Not to mention the quotes that will go down in islander history.
The more crawling across the floor infidelity scandals and "fake as Louis Vuitton from China" type drama we got from the eventual winners of 'Love Island' 2022, the more we grew to absolutely feckin' love them.
Towards the end of the series, fans and Twitter users began calling for the couple they called 'Ekin-de' to get their own spin-off show. Something light, like the pair travelling around Italy making up and breaking up as they pose by the leaning tower of Pisa, that kind of thing.
Apparently, the Italian Stallion slash Turkish Delight TV show of our dreams may be more than just a fantasy. A source spoke to The Sun recently sharing that "Telly chiefs are eyeing them up for their own series after singling them out as stand-out stars of this series of Love Island".
It's about time TV executives started capitlising on the fan favourites on the show, like Chloe and Toby the runner-ups from last years series. Of Ekin-de, the source explained "They are hot, explosive and funny, so naturally the conversation has turned to ideas around getting them their own reality documentary about what they did next".
Clearly, the concept is a runner by just taking a look at the breakdown of votes, with Ekin-Su and Davide winning 'Love Island' 2022 by a landslide. Speaking to OK! Magazine, a source shared that Ekin-Su is reportedly in talks to take a seat with the 'Loose Women' ladies.
They stated "she came across as really fun and genuine and she really impressed everyone. The Loose Women ladies also loved her. She really would be great as a regular panelist".
We would most definitely watch the Ekin-de spin-off. Would you?
