In a lengthy profile interview Variety, Nicole Kidman was asked about the HBO series that's due to start back in the new year. While she didn't exactly right off the possibility, it did sound pretty pessimistic. "I think it would simply be hard to get the whole group together," Kidman admitted, sadly. “But we would love to do it."
The upcoming second season sees Kidman reprising her role as Celeste, and will see Meryl Streep join the cast as Kidman's on-screen mother-in-law. Strep was, according to Kidman, that much of a supporter of the show that she signed on without seeing a script.
"She goes, ‘I suppose now I have to join you.’ And we were like, ‘What?’ The two of us (her and Reese Witherspoon) were just shocked. She hadn’t even read (the script). That’s how much she wanted to support us," said Kidman.
The second season of 'Big Little Lies' begins in 2019.
