It's no secret that some period dramas are known to get a bit steamy, so when ITV2 announced they were making Plebs, a new comedy series that essentially put The Inbetweeners in Ancient Rome, we were expecting a little bit of flesh flashing. However, we did not expect Danny Dyer to be involved.

It hasn't been the best year for Danny thus far, what with his latest big screen outing, Run For Your Wife, barely managing to nab £500 at the box office. We didn't think that would reduce him to stripping down to his smalls though, and we're not quite sure we ever wanted to see him in 'em either, but Plebs star Tom Rosenthal has been revealing all anyway.

Best known as Jonny from Channel 4's Friday Night Dinner, Tom is one of the main stars of the aforementioned comedy about a few lower class Roman lads who want to find themselves some ladies. The show debuted last night with a double bill, and in Episode 2 Tom's character Marcus saw far more of Mr Dyer than we ever needed to. That didn't seem to bother Rosenthal though.

"It was an honor to be in a naked scene with Danny Dyer" he told The Radio Times. "That scene is pure sex from my point of view; the girls are going to love it and love me because of it, I'm sure." Oh well, at least somebody enjoyed it...
