So there we were thinking, oh, Dawn French is doing something for Comic Relief? That's nice *yawn*, and then we spied her co-star. Yes, it's none other than Damian Lewis of Homeland fame! *squeal*

Yes, we know, we know, it's all very exciting to see The Vicar of Dibley back on our screens after 7 long years, but we're far more excited to see Sgt Nicholas Brody in the parish. The Radio Times reports that he'll be playing a rather charming Reverend, who catches Geraldine off her guard when she head down to London on a trip with her fellow parishioners. We hear there'll be plenty of antics for herself, Frank, Hugo and Owen, and the Vicar has promised us an affair to remember.

"Viewers should watch this sketch because it's the first time we've been together for ages, so everyone can witness the rapid deterioration of us all! Since we last saw the Vicar and her parish members, the astonishing and shocking amount of decay is alarming", Dawn French said. "It's very funny and anyone who loves the Vicar of Dibley is just going to have a riot with this", Lewis added. Sure wouldn't they want to, it's been written by Richard Curtis after all!

Catch the sketch during Comic Relief: Funny for Money which kicks off at 7pm on BBC1 on Friday evening.
