Even though it still doesn't have a concrete release date yet, anticipation is higher than ever for the 'Friends' reunion episode.

Courteney Cox joined talk show host Ellen DeGeneres for a chat this week, with the conversation naturally turning to the topic we're all dying to know more about - the 'Friends' reunion special.

Filming wrapped on the unscripted reunion episode nearly a month ago, which brought co-stars Jennifer Anniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer and Courteney all back together for one final time. The last time all six of the actors were together was 17 years previously for the final 'Friends' episode.

All six of the actors are executive producers on the reunion, alongside original 'Friends' creators Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane.

Courteney Cox was asked by Ellen about what fans of the series can expect. She told the host: "It was unbelievable. So emotional. I have the worst memory. Everything came up that I forgot about. but it was great, it was really fun. We had a lot of special surprises... and it was fantastic."

They also discussed how long it took for them to shoot the initial opening sequence in the water fountain, and also how Ellen is currently staying with Courteney in her house in LA.

Here's the full video interview, with the 'Friends' reunion segment being talked about at the 7 minute mark.

All ten seasons of 'Friends' are available to watch on Netflix.
