Game of Thrones has had a number of cameo appearances down through the years.
Thrash metal group Mastodon turned up in one scene, Sigur Ros played as one of the court musicians as Joffrey's wedding, Coldplay's drummer was one of the musicians at the Red Wedding, Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody even turned up in a blink-and-you'll-miss it cameo.
You're seeing a pattern, right? All musicians. Well, that's about to change if Belfast newspaper Sunday Life is to be believed. According to them, UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor has filmed a cameo for the next season of Game Of Thrones.
McGregor was previously lined up to star in XXX 3: The Return of Xander Cage, alongside Vin Diesel, but passed on the role to return to training. Aside from a supporting role in Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare, McGregor hasn't turned up in any other role. iMDB doesn't list McGregor's role in the series and, best we can tell, his appearance hasn't been clocked by any of the usual fansites.

All that aside, Sunday Life is based in Norn Iron so we're guessing they've got a source on the ground that's feeding them this bit of information.
McGregor certainly looks like he'd fit in on Game of Thrones and he's been open about the fact that he's not going to bother with UFC until there's some kind of equity deal put in place for him. Going on to the biggest TV show of the planet for a cameo is just going to add even more to his pulling power for UFC, so it makes sense that he'd do it.
The question is, is he actually doing it? And who's he with? Starks? Lannisters? The Dothraki, maybe?
