He's gone from Crumlin to literally outer space. Well, sort of.
The new story trailer debuted last night Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, which showcases the futuristic world in which the new game will be set. As we knew already, Kit Harrington AKA Jern Snoo from Game of Thrones is playing the villain of the piece and there was an announcement not so long ago that Conor McGregor would be taking part in the game, posting this little image of himself in mo-cap gear.
At first, the thinking was that he was acting as a body-double or something for the game, but it now appears that he actually has a role as one of the leaders of the Settlement Defense Front, the game's villains. The scene in question sees the player obviously blind-sided by the SDF and knocked down before someone looms overhead.
Y'know, like in basically every Call of Duty game that's ever been. Anyway, the person looming over you in Infinite Warfare is our own Conor McGregor.
Take a look.
It's interesting to see Call of Duty go in a much more sci-fi direction than they previously have done before, but the real reason why anyone's getting excited about Infinite Warfare is because the pre-order edition comes bundled with a HD remastering of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare, probably one of the best first-person shooters in gaming history.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has the dubious honour of being the most dislike videogame trailer on YouTube, so if this trailer gets a similar treatment, Conor McGregor's going to drive around your house and smash your face in.
Well, probably not.
