British TV host and pop icon Cilla Black has died at the age of 72.

The Blind Date host passed away at her home in Estepona in Costa Del Sol, Spain. Black - real name Priscilla White - is reported to have died from natural causes.

In recent years, Cilla had been suffering from hearing problems and arthritis.

Black's career began in 1963 as a cabaret singer, scoring several chart-topping hits such as Anyone Who Had A Heart and You're My World.

She reinvented herself as a TV Cupid with Blind Date, beginning in 1985 and running all the way up to 2003.

She is survived by her three sons and two grandchildren.
