'Charmed' star and 'Beverly Hills 90210' alum Shannen Doherty has revealed that she currently has stage-4 cancer.

Previously, Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, which eventually spread to her lymph nodes. In 2016, she received a single mastectomy and, in 2017, underwent radiation and chemotherapy, eventually announcing she was in remission.

However, in an interview with Good Morning America earlier today, Doherty confirmed that she had been diagnosed with stage-4 cancer and had been living with it for the past year. "It’s a bitter pill to swallow in a lot of ways. I definitely have days where I say, ‘Why me?’ And then I go, ‘Well, why not me? Who else besides me deserves this?’ None of us do," said Doherty.

Doherty made the announcement due to an impending lawsuit between her and insurer State Farms, wherein legal documents confirmed her diagnosis that would have eventually made its way into the public eye. "I don’t want it to be twisted; I don’t want it to be a court document. I want it to be real and authentic and I want to control the narrative. I want people to know from me," she told Good Morning America.

Since her diagnosis, Doherty has still been working, recently taking part in the reboot series of 'Beverly Hills 90210'. "I thought… people can look at that and say, ‘Oh my God, yeah. She can work and other people with stage 4 can work, too.' Our life doesn’t end the minute we get that diagnosis," she said.
