Another day, another case of mistaken identity on Twitter.
It was inevitable really, that Chris Evans, he of Captain America and Avengers fame would get caught in the crosshairs of fan abuse when they all new Top Gear arrived on our screens last week.
It doesn't matter how good the revamped BBC show is, it was always going to attract negative reaction from die hard fans of the Clarkson led version of the show and as the lead presenter of the show, BBC radio's Chris Evans was the most likely candidate to shoulder the majority of the negative reaction. Luckily for him, a large portion of Twitter folk who decided to take the time to vent their frustrations about the new show weren't willing to take the time to make sure that they were mentioning the right Chris Evans in their tweets.
#TopGear Did anybody else turn over to #AntiquesRoadshow for a really interesting programme??? @chrisevans @jeremyclarkson

New #TopGear was always going to be a difficult watch as @ChrisEvans has no indoor voice. #stopshouting

Poor Cap. At least one guy is kind enough to fill him in on the situation.
@ChrisEvans apologies if any British people accidentally shout at you today, a guy with your name ruined a show #TopGear

For our money, we think the Top Gear revamp is actually off to a pretty good start and will only get better if given the time to find its feet.
