It's been another drama-filled year on soapland, with murders, affairs, secrets, lies - the usual really. The British Soap Awards are one of the biggest events in the TV calendar over in the UK and now at last they have revealed their nominations in the Best Actor and Best Actress categories.

They are back to putting the vote solely into the hands of the viewer this year too, as in 2015 they split it 50/50 between public votes and an expert panel of judges.

Votes can be cast on the official British Soap Awards website while the ceremony itself will take place at London's Hackney Empire theatre in May.
