The Arrowverse, otherwise known as The CW's comic-book TV series like 'The Flash', 'Arrow' and 'Legends of Tomorrow', has got a new addition - 'Batwoman'.

The first trailer has landed online with Ruby Rose in the suit and cape as Kate Kane, Bruce Wayne's maternal cousin. Thrown out of the US Special Forces for being a lesbian, Kane decides to take on the mantle of Batman - except, y'know, Batwoman - and battle crime across Gotham.

Going by the trailer, they're definitely taking reference from Christopher Nolan as the building for Wayne Enterprises is the Chicago Board of Trade in real life, the same building used in 'Batman Begins'. Not only that, that street is where Joker and Batman had their face-off in 'The Dark Knight' as well.

Rose was first announced for the role in 2018, and given how she's done plenty of action in the past - 'John Wick: Chapter 2', specifically - she's clearly suited for the role.

No air date has been set for 'Batwoman' as of yet, but expect to see this on screens this side of the Atlantic before the end of the year.
