Dwayne ' The Rock' Johnson is a seriously busy man. In addition to his work on films including Central Intelligence, Fast and Furious 7, and the forthcoming Disney film Moana, he also has a day job on HBO show Ballers.

The good news for him, and fans of the show, is that it's just been picked up for a third series just two weeks after the second season began. As Deadline reported, the season 2 premiere has already had over 5 million views, which explains the decision to renew so soon.

Ballers centres on a group of American football players, and the problems they face on and off the field. Johnson plays a former player who has established a post-NFL career as a financial manager to the current pool of young talent.

It's sort of like Dream Team, if Dream Team was set in Miami, starred The Rock and was made by HBO.
