'The Great British Bake Off' semi-final took place last night and as we have come to expect with competitive televised baking, it proved quite the emotional rollercoaster.
This week it was Kim-Joy that had us all reaching for the tissues, and the baker broke down convinced she was going home when her chocolate mousse in the technical challenge didn't work out.
The 27-year-old mental health specialist tried making the mousse again for her complicated Seven Veils cake but it just would not thicken, leaving her convinced she would be going home.
Speaking to the camera she said: "I’ve never made a chocolate mousse, I don’t know what I’m doing. I think I should just go home."
She needn't have worried though, as she was placed second in the technical and later earned a spot in next week's final, with Briony unfortunately going home.

Kim-Joy will join Rahul and Ruby in next week's 'Great British Bake Off' on Tuesday, 30th November at 8pm.
