You'll know them best as two of the biggest names in comedy and now Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation) and Russell Peters are joining the ranks over at Netflix as the streaming site produces its first ever original comedy material.

Peters, who Forbes lists as one of the highest paid comedians in the USA, will exclusively premiere his 70-minute stand-up comedy special Notorious on October 14th, along with a four part docu-series titled Russell Peters vs. the World. The show takes a look at life behind the scenes in the run up to the launch of his comedy tour, and features Peters' stand up performance in Sydney earlier this year.

He's followed online by Aziz Ansari just a few weeks later on Friday November 1st: His brand new offering, Buried Alive, also premieres exclusively via the streaming site. It features a brand new stand up routine focusing on his unique viewpoint on pending adulthood, babies, marriage, and love, and follows th successful live tour of the same name.

The lads are only too delighted to be bringing the new shows to the world via Netflix, and Peters even said it was only right that they did so: "I’ve always prided myself on being outside the box and slightly ahead of the curve, which is why Netflix is the perfect fit for me,” he explained. "Plus, I was discovered online - we both owe a lot to the internet."

Sure won't we need a good laugh when Breaking Bad is over?

Netflix will premiere Nextflix comedy special Notorious and docu-series Russell Peters vs The World on Monday October 14th, followed by Aziz Ansari: Buried Alive on Friday, November 1st.
