The second season of Mike White's darkly comedic, white privileged TV series has added another star into the mix.
Aubrey Plaza will join 'The White Lotus' for its second season at HBO. The follow-up to last year's hit show will have an all-new cast of super-rich wreaking havoc on some fed-up-with-it hotel staff.
Plaza will play the role of Harper Spiller, and according to Deadline she is "a woman on vacation with her husband and his friends". Will Plaza's fictional character from 'Parks and Recreation', Janet Snakehole, make another opulent appearance in the series? Only time will tell.
Aubrey Plaza joins the first name announced for 'The White Lotus' season two, Michael Imperioli. Imperioli, most well-known for playing Christopher Moltisanti in 'The Sopranos', will play Dominic Di Grasso, who is a man travelling with his elderly father and college-graduate son.
Jennifer Coolidge, who is one of the original cast members from season one, has been rumoured to be returning for this second take. Whether it would be a brand new role for the acting icon, or a return as the over-emotional Tanya McQuoid, remains a mystery as of yet.
Season two of 'The White Lotus' from creator Mike White will see the action move location from Hawaii to a brand new oasis consisting of plenty of tranquillity, cocktails, and drama at another White Lotus property. Aubrey Plaza has been a trailblazer of memorable comedic and dramatic performances ever since her turn as April Ludgate in 'Parks and Recreation'. Since then, she's starred opposite Elizabeth Olsen in 'Ingrid Goes West' (and stole her look on the film's red carpet), starred in the Chucky reboot 'Child's Play', and also joined the cast of 'Happiest Season' in 2020.
