With 70+ screen credits to his name, Arnold Schwarzenegger has become one of cinema's most recognisable faces. Now he's making the transition to TV.

Arnold Schwarzenegger will lead and executive produce an hour-long spy series which marks his small screen debut.

He previously had a brief stint running 'The US Apprentice'. However this is his first major scripted TV series role.

The show will be a globetrotting adventure with a father and daughter at its centre.

Could be something that leans into the actor's role in 'True Lies'.

Schwarzenegger is collaborating with Skydance on the show. They're currently casting the daughter.

The studio (not to be confused with Skynet) also produced 'Terminator Genisys' and 'Terminator: Dark Fate'.

The latter was the action star's last major movie role.

Nick Santora, whose credits include 'Law & Order,' 'Prison Break', 'Jack Reacher' and 'Scorpion,' will create, develop and executive produce the Skydance series.

No title or launch date for the show just yet.

They'll be shopping it around to streamers in the very near future.

It's not the only upcoming TV project Schwarzenegger will star in either.

Next year, he'll voice the lead character of Arnold Armstrong in animated TV series 'Stan Lee’s Superhero Kindergarten.'

Other projects Arnold Schwarzenegger has in the pipeline include 'Triplets' (with Danny DeVito and Eddie Murphy); 'Kung Fury 2' (in which he'll play the President); and 'The Legend of Conan'.
