Ireland's Fittest Family returns for its seventh series.

Applications are now open for the 2019 edition of Ireland's Fittest Family.

It begs the question - have you and your family got what it takes to win?

The competitive Irish reality TV series has been a hit for RTÉ for a number of years now.

They "are searching the country to find the fittest, fastest, strongest families to enter Ireland's most extreme fitness competition."

Last year, the Coneys from Tyrone coached by Anna Geary were victorious. They beat the McDonalds from Laois, the Lawlors from Limerick and the Finnegan Hogans from Cork in the grand finale in Croke Park. Derval O'Rourke, Davy Fitzgerald, and Donncha O'Callaghan were also coaches last year while Mairéad Ronan took hosting duties.

As with previous series, this year's winning family will earn a €15,000 cash prize and be crowned Ireland's Fittest Family 2019.

Minimum age of contestants is 14 years old (on 01 June 2019). Each family will be comprised of four immediate members of parents and children, though permit grandparents, stepparents and stepchildren are all accepted.

The series will be shot from July to September of this year.
