It's all about Lego at the moment, with The Lego Movie storming the box office this last weekend. And now our favourite cartoon characters are getting in on the act too, with an entire episode of The Simpsons set to be made out of the building blocks to mark the show's 25th season.

In what will be the 550th episode of the show, titled 'Brick Like Me', Homer wakes up to find that everybody is made out of Lego blocks. He then must escape this Lego universe, before he is stuck there forever more.

The show, which debuted in 1989, has just been renewed for a 26th season with the network, so looks like there will be plenty more antics from Homer and the rest of the clan to come. The show has been marking its landmark series with a load of special episodes, including a Halloween special directed by Hellboy film-maker Guillermo del Toro, a collaboration with Matt Groening's other series Futurama, as well as a tribute to anime director Hayao Miyazaki.

The Simpsons Lego episode will air here on 4 May.
