They tore up the small screen at various intervals between 1992 and 2012 but more recently speculation about whether or not Absolutely Fabulous sirens Edina and Patsy would head for the big screen in the own film has been rampant. Enter Jennifer Saunders and it's all been put to bed.

Creator and star Jennifer was speaking with Glamour magazine when she revealed that an Absolutely Fabulous movie will "never happen". And just in case that wasn't clear enough for you, she elaborated upon the point too. "We've been talking about it for so long and now I've just got this feeling that Ab Fab is in such a nice place now" she explained, "If we made the film there would be such a danger that we could ruin it."

Of course, that doesn't mean that we've seen the end of the ladies. Just last year Saunders and her co-star Joanna Lumley teamed up to film a 2012 Olympics-themed episode, and BBC executive Shane Allen has made it clear that the "door is always open for more Ab Fab".

We're not too upset to hear that they're leaving well enough alone to be honest: It's not like every TV comedy makes that transition to film successfully.

And sure haven't Patsy and Eddie proven, on more than one occasion, that the TV screen is barely big enough for the both of them as is?
