The title for the eighth season of 'American Horror Story' has been revealed as 'Apocalypse' in a tweet from the official account earlier this morning.
Creator Ryan Murphy has said previously that the latest series would be unlike any other and confirmed that there'd be a crossover between the first and third season, as well as some more interesting tidbits too. "It’s a season unlike anything we’ve done because there’s a big hook to it. There’s a huge thing that happens in episode five," said Murphy - but, naturally, declined to specify what it was.

The lineup for the eighth season includes Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates and Billie Lourd returning for a second season, whilst Joan Collins is set to play a role in the new season as Evan Peters' on-screen grandmother.
'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' starts on FX on September 12th.
