The scene of Jeremy Clarkson's infamous fracas with a BBC Top Gear producer has been commemorated with a plaque.

Simonstone Hall in the Yorkshire Dales was the venue for the punch up between Clarkson and Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon last May. The hotel shared a picture of the plaque on their Facebook page after it was donated to them by a hotel guest.

"Here lies the BBC career of Jeremy Clarkson who had a fracas on this spot, 4 March 2015," reads the plaque. "The rest is legend."

The Top Gear team were staying at the hotel during filming when Tymon was assaulted by Clarkson after a late-night argument over food.

Clakson was suspended and subsequently had his contract terminated by the BBC following the incident.
