Well we knew it was an explosive episode but we weren't expecting that! Okay apologies, we shouldn't joke but nobody was hurt so it's all okay.

The fire occurred on the set at the BBC Elstree Studios at 11pm last night, just a few hours after the soap aired THAT dramatic scene between Max and Abi Branning. It seems it was caused by a firework in the first floor on the Albert Square set.

An EastEnders spokesperson told Digital Spy: "There was a very small fire on set on Tuesday night after rehearsals had finished. It has not affected any #EELive week plans and nobody was harmed."

A spokesperson for the Hertfordshire fire service also said; "Thanks to the hard work of our firefighters, the fire was contained and extinguished before it could cause any serious damage to the set. We're pleased that we were able to deal with this incident quickly, so it shouldn't affect the 30 year celebrations taking place this week."

Basically, we are still going to find out who really killed Lucy Beale this weeks folks, so everybody can relax.

EastEnders continues tonight at 8pm on RTE1 with some more live excerpts and drama galore!
