A little more than three weeks to go until the follow-up series charges its way onto Netflix.

Get ready for plenty of blood, shouting, war and nakedness later this month - yep, it's the highly-anticipated arrival of 'Vikings: Valhalla' on Netflix.

A continuation on from the original 'Vikings', which lasted six seasons (and can be streamed on Prime Video), the five-episode Netflix series will pick up over a hundred years later with a new band of fiery and ambitious Nordic heroes.

So far in the build-up to this new generations' release, Netflix has released a tonne of promotional material that they're hoping will tempt fans of the original series to tune in. This gritty follow-up will feature some of the most famous Vikings that ever ventured out into the wilderness to make a name for themselves, and drops them into an immersive action-packed storyline set in the 11th Century.

The three leads of the season are legendary explorer Leif Eriksson is played by 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' star Sam Corlett; his fiery and headstrong sister Freydis Eriksdotter, played by Swedish model and actor Frida Gustavsson; while the ambitious Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson is played by English actor Leo Suter.

Filmed in Wicklow, here's the official 'Vikings: Valhalla' trailer.

As tensions between the Vikings and the English royals reach a bloody breaking point and as the Vikings themselves clash over their conflicting Christian and pagan beliefs, these three Vikings begin an epic journey that will take them across oceans and through battlefields, from Kattegat to England and beyond, as they fight for survival and glory.

'Vikings: Valhalla' arrives on Netflix on February 25.
