The multi Oscar nominated black comedy 'Promising Young Woman' is at last getting a release in Ireland and the UK.

'Promising Young Woman' stars Carey Mulligan and marks the breathtaking debut of Emerald Fennell.

The film co-stars Bo Burnham, Alison Brie, Connie Britton, Adam Brody, Jennifer Collidge, Laverne Cox, Matthew Greenfield and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

Mulligan plays Cassie, a smart, wicked and determined woman who goes about addressing a past trauma by leading a double life at night time.

'Promising Young Woman' has earned a number of awards so far including two Critics' Choice Awards, a WGA award, and two AACTA Awards among others.

It earned four Golden Globe nominations. At the upcoming Academy Awards, it is up for Best Picture, Actress, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Editing.

It's not the only major feature to be acquired by Sky and NOW. Last week, 'Zack Snyder's Justice League' debuted on the two platforms.

'Promising Young Woman' will be released on Sky Cinema from 16 April. The film will also be available on streaming service NOW via the Sky Cinema Membership.
