Great news for fans of 'Ginny and Georgia' as it just got the green light for a second season.

The YA coming-of-age drama stars Antonia Gentry and Brianne Howey as Ginny and Georgia, respectively.

Netflix recently revealed that season 1 of the show was watched by more than 52 million members' households in its first 28 days.

The series has proven a huge hit across the globe. It made Netflix’s Top 10 list in 87 countries around the world, and hit No. 1 in 46 countries, including the US.

No plot details or new characters for season 2 of 'Ginny and Georgia' have been announced just yet.

Season one left us on a cliffhanger. The authorities learned new information about Georgia, who is now engaged to recently re-elected Mayor Paul Randolph (Scott Porter). Meanwhile Ginny, tired of her mum keeping secrets, headed out on the road with little brother Austin (Diesel La Torraca).

If this Instagram announcement is anything to go by, it looks like all your favourite characters and stars from season 1 will be back.

'Ginny and Georgia' season 2 will consist of 10 episodes that will run for 60 minutes each.
