Season 2 of fantasy series 'Fate: The Winx Saga' has officially commenced production in Wicklow.

'Fate: The Winx Saga' follows the fairy students of Alfea College as they learn to harness their magic powers.

All the characters you loved from the first season will be back as returning cast members include Abigail Cowen in the role of Bloom, Hannah van der Westhuysen as Stella, Precious Mustapha as Aisha, Eliot Salt as Terra, Elisha Applebaum as Musa, Sadie Soverall as Beatrix, Freddie Thorp as Riven, Danny Griffin as Sky, Theo Graham as Dane, Jacob Dudman as Sam, Ken Duken as Andreas and Rob James Collier as Silva.

Also returning is showrunner and exec producer Brian Young ('The Vampire Diaries').

The first series was shot in and around county Wicklow. Kilruddery House in Bray was the main location.

New to the cast of 'Fate: The Winx Saga' for season 2 are Irish actor Éanna Hardwicke (who starred in the RTÉ series 'Smother' earlier this year), in the role of new character Sebastian, and Paulina Chávez as Flora.

Joining them is Brandon Grace in the role of Grey.
