Netflix and Shondaland have announced the addition of a number of cast members to season 2 of 'Bridgerton'. Among them is Irish actor Calum Lynch.

Calum Lynch has a number of impressive credits to his name. After debuting in 'Dunkirk', he starred in 'Mrs. Wilson' opposite Ruth Wilson.

Last year, he played George Winthorp in the new 'Black Beauty' for Disney+.

'Derry Girls' fans should recognise him as John Paul O'Reilly from the prom episode ('Bridgerton' already stars 'Derry Girls' lead Nicola Coughlan).

Calum Lynch is also due to star in the period-set movie 'Succession' from Terence Davies.

The Irish thespian will play Theo Sharpe, a hardworking printer's assistant, in 'Bridgerton'.

He's been described as "not just a working class man, he's also an intellectual who fights for the rights for all."

Charithra Chandran ('Alex Rider') is another new addition to the romantic drama.

Her character Edwina Sharma "has been taught by her older sister Kate to be the perfect debutante. She’s kind-natured and endlessly endearing. But while she may be young and naive, she also knows what she wants: a true love match."

Shelley Conn will play Mary Sharma, an Earl’s daughter whose marriage to a tradesman once embroiled her family in scandal. Now Lady Mary has returned to London with her daughters and finds herself scrutinised again.

The final cast addition, Rupert Young ('Dear Evan Hansen') will play Jack, the newest member of the ton with a connection to one of its most notable families.

'Bridgerton' season 2 will focus on Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathon Bailey).

It is due to start filming this spring.
