*CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2*

13 Reasons Why season 2 (read our full review here) launched on Netflix earlier this month and anyone who has seen it will know that it looks like Hannah Baker’s time on the show, whether it goes onto a third season or not, is up.

The final episode of season 2 saw Clay (Dylan Minnette) say goodbye to Ghost Hannah (Katherine Langford) during his eulogy at her belated funeral and wake. After hearing the words, ‘I love you and I let you go’, Ghost Hannah walks out of the church into a bright light (and presumably out of Clay’s life and the show for good).

Langford recently uploaded a heartfelt Instagram post about her character and how playing her will make her strive to do better.

She said that the series was her “first ever job and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to tell Hannah's story so fully in season 1, and to be asked back for a season 2.”

She continued: “This show will always be a special part of my life, and regardless of whether Hannah is there or not, I know that I will continue to strive to do work that is meaningful and has a positive impact – whether that be in film, music, or any other form of art.

“There is a lot coming up this next year, and I can't wait to share it with you.”
