Yesterday we heard the sad news of the passing of actor Roger Lloyd-Pack, the man behind the popular character Trigger in Only Fools and Horses.
The actor died aged 69 from pancreatic cancer on Wednesday afternoon, and his agent has said he "died at home surrounded by his family".
His former co-stars and friends have been paying tribute to him. David Jason, who played Del Boy on the show has said: "I was very saddened to hear of Roger's passing. He was a very quiet, kind and unassuming actor who was a pleasure to work with."
He went on to say: "Although he played the simple soul of Trigger in Only Fools and Horses, he was a very intelligent man and a very fine actor capable of many roles. I shall remember him with fondness and for all the good times we had together."
Nicholas Lyndhurst, who we all know as Rodney on the show, also said: "I'm so saddened to hear about Roger. He was the most accomplished actor and loved by millions, I will miss him greatly."
The news came just weeks before the cast are set to reunite for a one-off special, to be broadcast during 'Sport Relief' in March. It really won't be the same without Trigger there cracking us up, but no doubt the stars will find a way of paying tribute to him.
