The series will be part of the launch of Disney's new streaming service next year, with plans also in development for shows focused on the likes of the Scarlet Witch and a number of other Avengers characters who have yet to get a standalone movie.
Each show will comprise of about six to eight episodes while Kevin Feige is expected to take a hands-on role in their development. It's still early days so no writers have been attached yet but insiders have told Variety that any of the Avengers that have gotten their own movies will not be featured in these shows. Take that, Iron Man.
No word yet on how the show plans on getting around what happened with Loki in the recent Avengers movie, but no doubt they will find a way.
These shows are also set to go under the Marvel Studios banner as opposed to Marvel Television which makes the likes of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' and Netflix shows like 'Daredevil' and 'Iron Fist'.
These new Marvel Shows with Disney however could end up drawing a lot of comic fans to the new streaming service. Between them and the multiple Star Wars TV shows also on the way, Netflix could have a tough competitor on its hands in 2019.
