We've got our first glimpse of Hilary Duff's character from the set of the upcoming sitcom.

If you need any information on the sequel series, you best go and follow Hilary Duff on social media because she's the gift that keeps on giving. The star has shared another set photo from 'How I Met Your Father' this week, giving us a glimpse of her character in action.

From the photo shared on her Instagram, we can see Duff's character Sophie sitting at a bar not too dissimilar from McLaren's Pub, one of the often-visited locations of the 'How I Met Your Mother' gang.

The Hulu production began filming in August, and Duff previously shared a snap of her with her new co-stars of the series. Tien Tran ('Candyman'), Suraj Sharma ('Life Of Pi'), Francia Raisa ('Grown-ish'), Tom Ainsley ('Serpent'), and Chris Lowell ('Promising Young Woman') will all join Duff for the spin-off.

It was reported during the week that cast member Brandon Micheal Hall has been replaced by Daniel Augustin due to a scheduling conflict.

Another two actors will also join the cast, with 'Drake & Josh' and 'Turner & Hooch' star Josh Peck and 'American Gods' actor Ashley Reyes signing onto the series as recurring cast members.

'How I Met Your Father' is a Hulu production made up of 10 episodes for the first season. It will likely air in Ireland via Star on Disney+ in the near future - all nine seasons of 'How I Met Your Mother' are already available on the streaming platform.

Here's the official synopsis of the series: "In the near future, Sophie (Duff) is telling her son the story of how she met his father: a story that catapults us back to the year 2021 where Sophie and her close-knit group of friends are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options."
