Will Andrew Scott's daemon be a fox, perhaps?

There's going to be a 'Fleabag' reunion of sorts on the upcoming second season of the BBC and HBO series 'His Dark Materials'. And it's quite the intriguing concept - but one that we're very much on board with. The creator and star of 'Fleabag', Phoebe Waller-Bridge, will be voicing Andrew Scott's character's daemon in the next season.

Scott will join season two of 'His Dark Materials' as Colonel John Parry - but, for those of us who have read the books, his daemon will indeed not be a fox. Instead, Waller-Bridge is expected to voice his daemon named Sayan Kötör, who is an osprey.

Both actors are known for playing opposite each-other in the second season of Waller-Bridge's comedy/drama, with Scott being given the title of being the "Hot Priest". As a third season is highly unlikely, this is likely the closest we'll be getting to a 'Fleabag' reunion anytime soon.

The special announcement came at the beginning of yesterday's Comic-Con@Home panel, where the trailer for the upcoming season was played. It was the Dublin actor who revealed to fans who would be playing his "inner-self", saying: "Someone who is very close to me in my real life: a young performer and writer called Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

"I’m really thrilled about that because it’s all about companionship and friendship and loyalty, and that’s what I feel about Phoebe in real life," Scott added.

The trailer for the second season of the fantasy series, based on the highly-acclaimed books of Philip Pullman, introduced Scott for the first time, showing him to be in possession of the subtle knife, which can open doorways into other worlds. Viewers also got a look at the return of Lyra (Dafne Keen), Will (Amir Wilson), Lee Scoresby (Lin Manuel-Miranda) and Mrs. Coulter (Ruth Wilson).

Here it is:

'His Dark Materials' season two is expected to arrive later this autumn.
