'Ireland's musical highlight' took place in Dublin's RDS on Friday. The star-studded music spectacular was presented by 'international TV presenter' Amanda Byram. Performances on the night to celebrate the 10 year anniversary, came from Florence And The Machine, Paulo Nutini, Westlife, The Script, Bell X1, Pixie Lott, Temper Trap, The Coronas and Brian Kennedy and... the Dublin Gospel Choir. As with the previous years, Irish music fans decided the winners of nine major categories: Best National D.J., Best Regional D.J., Best Irish Band, Best Irish Male, Best Irish Female, Best Irish Pop Act, Best Irish Album, Best Irish Live Performance and Most Promising New Artist for 2010. A further nine awards were decided by votes cast by representatives of the Irish music industry with a total of eighteen awards presented on the night. Yes, it was a long night.
