In case you needed further proof that we live in the future, you can now play Street Fighter II, a game that used to require an entire console and sometimes a giant arcade machine to play, inside a tiny tweet.

Getting any work done at all today is now no longer a possibility, as it turns out that you can now play entire video games without having to leave Twitter, including some absolute classics.

The brilliant piece of work comes from the folks at Archive.org, who have been cataloging some retro esssential video games, from Sim City to Wolfenstein and Street Fighter, which are all playable on their site. However, they have also made them easy to embed so that you can put them on your website, or even in your tweets, so that you can waste even more of your time on the social networking site.

As proof that it can be done in a tweet, here's us embedding one of our own tweets. We know, self-indulgent, right?

Of course, you can also play Crosscountry Canada, one of the weirdest games we've ever played.

What a world we live in.
