Roderick George Toombs, best known to wrestling fans around the word as Rowdy Roddy Piper has passed away at the age of 61.
According to TMZ, Piper, who also appeared in the classic John Carpenter flick They Live, passed away in his sleep at his home due to cardiac arrest.
He had previously survived Hodgkins Lymphoma, after being diagnosed in 2006 and was given the all clear late last year.
He is survived by his wife Kitty and 4 kids.
Our childhoods just lost an icon. RIP.
