Conceptual artist Florentijin Hofman brought his latest work to Hong Kong this week, and broke records in the process not just for size but sheer oddness. Hofman's giant inflatable duck measure 46 feet high by 55 feet wide and is currently bobbing away in Victoria Harbour freaking the crap out of everyone.

According to him: 'The Rubber Duck knows no frontiers, it doesn’t discriminate people and doesn’t have a political connotation. The friendly, floating Rubber Duck has healing properties: it can relieve mondial tensions as well as define them. The rubber duck is soft, friendly and suitable for all ages!'

We're just waiting for it to break loose and float out to sea, where it'll be struck by lightning while encountering toxic waste and come to life, terrorizing the Pacific for centuries to come.
