Enda Kenny's no stranger to abuse or odd comments forwarded to his Twitter account, but his Mentions tab has been filled with women openly discussing their menstruation cycles.

The Twitter campaign, which was started by comedian Grainne Maguire, is to raise awareness for the Repeal the Eighth campaign.

Vivid.

The campaign's already got a few followers, with other women chiming in with their own reports on how they've fallen to the Communists / spending time with their Aunt Flo / starring in a BBC period drama.

In fairness, if the Government's going to get involved in what women do with their own bodies, it's only right that they should be fully briefed on all the goings on and facts therein. Makes sense, really.
