A woman in Manchester was left glued to the door of her apartment building for several hours as emergency services didn't believe that she was telling the truth when she called to explain her situation.

Fiona Crabb was left glued to the door of her apartment block after she had to call the emergency services four times before they believed that she was telling the truth about her predicament.

Crabb said she saw teenagers running from the apartment block before the incident occurred, but didn't think anything of it until she became glued to the handle. She called her partner and a close friend, both of whom also thought she was joking. Neighbours from other apartments in the complex came out to try and assist her, with four calls being placed in total to try and get the emergency services to respond before they eventually arrived at 11.30pm.

Speaking to The Telegraph she said "when the paramedics arrived, they tried so many things to get me free. They used Coca Cola, WD-40, Fairy Liquid, hot water and vegetable oil but nothing was working", before the fire services eventually had to cut the handle from the door and brought her to hospital.

She was left with her hand attached to the door for more than three hours, and has burns on her hands as a result. They are expected to heal however, and she added that "I think it was just strangers playing a prank, but I would be really angry if I found out it was someone I knew."
