A woman in South Carolina was sent to jail after it was discovered that she'd rented a copy of Monster in Law on VHS and never returned it to the store.

Kayla Michelle Finley, 27, has paid a high price for her love of one of the finest works in the the oeuvre of Jennifer Lopez, beyond having to actually watch the movie itself, of course. Back in 2005, Finley rented a copy of Monster in Law from Dalton Videos (now no longer trading), who had been trying to get the video back from her for quite a while, and had even filed an arrest warrant for her as a reuslt.

Finley was at a police station dealing with another matter when the cops uncovered the warrant, and since her hearing could not be held until the following day at a local court, she had to spend the night in a jail cell at the station on a misdemeanour charge.

Speaking to CNN she said "I'm no criminal, but Pickens County Sheriff's office sure made me feel like I was". Well, at least she has an interesting story to tell we suppose. Who else can say they went to jail as a result of their love for the movie Monster in Law?
