This is the worst news in Hollywood marriages we could possibly ever hear. Golden couple and parents to the Pinkett-Smith superfamliy Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are reportedly undergoing a trial separation.

The couple - who have children Jaden, 15, and Willow, 12, together - have not been seen together since August and insiders claim their 15-year marriage is in trouble, so they are currently living apart in a bid to ease the tension between them.

According to the Daily Mirror: 'They were considered to have one of the most solid marriages in Hollywood, but lately it hasn't seemed that way. Things seemed tense for months.'

The 45-year-old actor - who also has son Trey, 19, with first wife Sheree Zampino - has been staying in New Orleans since September filming 'Focus', and will be there until the end of November, while Jada recently visited Paris, France, with her daughter and mother Adrienne Banfield-Brown. According to RadarOnline, upon returning from Europe, the 42-year-old actress moved into her brother Caleeb's home in California.

Though the couple haven't addressed the claims, Will's mother Carolyn Smith told the website: 'Isn't that personal? ... Thank you for your concern.'

The couple have been dogged by reports of marriage troubles for months, and in April Jada said she and her husband could do 'whatever they want' in their marriage. She said in an open letter on Facebook: 'Will and I can both do whatever we want because we trust each other to do so. This does not mean we have an open relationship. It means we have a grown one.'

And earlier this month, at the Associated Black Charities of Baltimore Girls' Night Out Event, Jada referred to a marital 'storm'.

According to one audience member, she said: 'When you are going through a storm with your spouse ... stop thinking about what you 'believe' a husband or wife should be.'

We're really, really hoping this isn't true, or that they just work it out.
